If the item has total dimensions beyond 62 linear inches, it's usually considered oversized by airlines. You can bring non dangerous items, such as paintings, on many airplanes, but you have to buy an extra ticket. If you have an item that is more than 100 pounds, you can't block access to emergency exits or cabin aisles.

Make sure they fit in your quart-size plastic bag, and also make sure that the bag closes securely while the toiletries are inside. If you have long, thick hair, you might be concerned about how many washes you can get out of a small bottle. If you do a trial run at home, you'll know how long it takes to get through those bottles.
